  23. Your best bet is to find an old modem and use it.  The new ones should 
  24. all work, but my experience has been that they just don't work reliably 
  25. or sometimes even ATALL.

  27. My suggestion would be to visit the DRMO sales office at a local military 
  28. base and look for one of the older modems which they are dumping by the 
  29. the  thousands.  Also, you might try garage sales and electronic junk 
  30. shops. Most people dumped these 10 years ago.

  34. No 600 bps is one of the older standards, but it was not heavily used.  
  35. Most people jumped directly from 300 bps to 1200 bps.
